My Playstation 2 wont play my Final Fantasy 8 PS1 game. It isnt scratched up that bad. What should i do?

I’ve tried cleaning the disc. It will say on the browser “Playstation Game”. I click it and it just stays black forever. Never loads it. Sometimes it will say “Please enter a Playstation 2 or Playstation format disk.”
It’s the real version, not burned. My PS2 has not been modified. Ive tried cleaning it. Still dont work.

If you compare PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360 side by side,which one do you prefer?

I was thinking of trading in my Playstation 2 for an Xbox 360 in EB Games or whatever and I wanna know if its worth it. And does Xbox 360 online actually cost money?

How do I make Playstation 2 back-up disks?

I just purchased the old style playstation 2 and would like to know how I can make my own ps2 back-up disks. What would be the best program and or dvd burner software to use to make it. Also, is there a website that you could direct me to?
