Problem with a an auto-refreshing Java script on one web site. Help?
CBS Sportsline uses a live-scoring java program to update scores for fantasy football games. I’ve used the site many times in the past with no problems. However, I recently got a new computer, and suddenly the page locks up my entire system. I’ve downloaded every update I can find (Windows XP, Internet Explorer, Java console), and minimized security measures (cookies, java script and ActiveX controls) but nothing seems to work. The page won’t load correctly, and it eats up CPU time in huge spurts, like it’s having a seizure. Any suggestions?
