My daughter is nearly 7 months old and I am looking forward to taking her outside with me when I am gardening now that the weather is turning a bit warmer. I live in an area that has a lot of ticks and lyme disease is rampant. Do you know of an insect repellent that is safe on babies but works with ticks?

We use Sentinel for heartworm and fleas, but this summer ticks have been a problem. She runs in a wooded area almost everyday. I really don’t want to give her any more ‘medication’ if I don’t have to. Would rather try a natural solution first. Any ideas?

I live in an area with lots of creeks, bogs and marshes, so every summer there are a bunch of vicious mosquitos around here. Because I am allergic to insect bites, wherever I get a mosquito bite, it swells like crazy and blows up to a huge size.
So this summer, I am determined to try to avoid mosquito bites altogether. Can you please recommend to me a really effective mosquito repellent that won’t kill me in the process? I’d like to use a product that is least toxic to humans while simultaneous being very effective.
And any other general anti-mosquito tips would be appreciated as well. I hate mosquitos! They are the bane of my existence in the summer.

I am moving to a very wooded area and I am going to need to protect my horses from horse flys, knats, ticks, deer flys and all the other biting things in the woods. My husband said we can use Skin so Soft from Avon on the horses and that it is a great insect repellent for humans. Does anyone know if this is true and does it work?
