What’s a good insect repellent for sunflowers?
We grew seedless sunflowers in our flower bed but these little bee things are eating the centers out of the flowers. Anyone know of a really good repellent that will keep them away? After watching the flowers grow, we'd hate to see them die!

Bees do not harm flowers. They are necessary for pollinating. They only eat nectar and pollen.

Either check with your local nursery or get a praying mantis.

It's not the bees. Anyhow, bees are a gardener's and a flower's best friend. It has to be something else like caterpillars. The problem is that just about any insecticide you use will kill the bees and any other beneficial insect. My best advise is to just live with it and try planting something else next season.
