I am soon to be travelling through Africa and am looking into insect repellents, i have previously become ill from using Deet repellents. i heard about taking vitamin B however after researching it on the internet i have found that there is no evidence that it works. Any other suggestions?

Is it lemon and eucalyptus oil blended, or is there a single oil called lemon eucalyptus? And how do I blend and make it for insect repellant? Thank you

And if you have any suggestions, I want to ask you about what type of herbs or any other environmentally safe devices to use as an insect repellent. This is because I have to invent something for my school project.

We grew seedless sunflowers in our flower bed but these little bee things are eating the centers out of the flowers. Anyone know of a really good repellent that will keep them away? After watching the flowers grow, we'd hate to see them die!
They are eating the the little sprout things out of the center of the flower
